Solution

Crystalline solidsAmorphous solids
They have definite characteristic geometrical shape as constituent particles are arranged in orderly regular long range manner.
They do not have definite geometrical shape. This is due to short range order of constituent particles.
They have sharp melting point. They melt completely at one constant temperature.
They do not have sharp melting point. As temperature is raised, they gradually soften, becomes less viscous and melt over a temperature range.
