3. Pituitary gland known as the master gland mainly functions to secrete hormones that help in carrying out the body functions like growth, metabolism and reproduction.
4. It produces growth hormones to regulate growth of the body.
5. All these changes occurs during the adolescence age i.e. around 14 years of age.
