  1. The liquid or fluid portion of blood that contains mostly water, salts, and minerals is known technically as plasma.
  2. The solid portion of the blood is made up of three types of cells - red blood cells (RBCs), white blood cells (WBCs), and platelets.

Plasma:

  1. The plasma is straw-colored.
  2. It constitutes 50-60% of the total blood.
  3. The composition of blood plasma is given below:
