Solution

Non-uniform motion:

Non-uniform motion is described as the motion of an object wherein the object moves at different speeds and does not cover the same distance in equal time intervals, regardless of the duration of the time interval.

Examples of non-uniform motion:

  1. When a race car constantly accelerates to win the race, then the car travels unequal distances in equal intervals of time. Hence such an instance can be referred to as an example of non-uniform motion.
  2. The motion of a table fan when it is switched off till its stops, can be referred to as an example of non-uniform motion as the rotation of the fan is not constant and it is changing with time.
  3. A bouncing ball.
