Veins

  1. The veins carry deoxygenated blood to the heart from various parts of the body. In veins, valves are found which prevent the backflow.
    Exception: pulmonary veins carry oxygenated blood.
  2. Blood flows through veins under low pressure due to the capillary action of veins.
