Solution
Stimulus
A stimulus is a change in the environment of an organism.
Animals respond to a stimulus in order to keep themselves in favorable conditions.
Examples of this include:
Hibernation: Hibernation is the condition in which the animals go dormant during winter by lowering their metabolic activities. This can be seen in reptiles, fish, and amphibians. To combat the problem of food shortage during hibernation, these animals eat a lot of food and store it in the form of excess fat.
Camouflage: it is a natural phenomenon used by plants and animals to blend into their environment. Predators and prey alike use camouflage to avoid detection.
