Dear student
Acidic oxides are the non-metal oxides and form acids when reacted with water:
eg SO2 , NO2
Basic oxides are the oxides of metals that produce bases on reacting with water:
eg. CaO, CuO, Na2O
An amphoteric oxide is an oxide that can act both as an acid and as a base.
eg: Al2O3 , ZnO
