Those chemical elements or substances having properties that are intermediate with both metallic and nonmetallic properties are called metalloids or semimetals.
The group of elements is mostly found between groups six and nine elements reside near the center of the P block of the periodic table.
Examples are Boron (B), Arsenic (As), Antimony(Sb), Germanium (Ge), etc.
From the periodic table the metalloids can be shown as follows:
Here in the diagram, the highlighted area which is marked in red, shows us the location of metalloids in the periodic table.
Hence, two examples of metalloids are Antimony(Sb) and Germanium (Ge).
