Solution

Malleability

  • Malleability and ductility is the property that is shown by metals.
  • The material that can be hammered into thin sheets is a so-called malleable material and the property is known as malleability.

For example Silver (Ag) and Gold (Au) show malleability in which they can be hammered into thin sheets or foils.

Ductility

  • Ductility is the property that allows the metals to be drawn into thin wires.
  • For example Silver, Gold, and Copper are the metals that show ductility the most.

Silver and Gold are examples of metals that show both the properties malleable as well as ductile.
