Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a better fuel than wood because of the following reasons:

• LPG has a higher calorific value than that of wood. Therefore, LPG gives out more heat energy on burning than that of burning an equal mass of wood. [1 mark]
• LPG burns without producing any smoke, whereas burning of wood produces a lot of smoke, causing air pollution. [1 mark]
