Given A = {1, 2, 3}, B = {3, 4} and C = {4, 5, 6}, find (A×B)∩(B×C).
We have,
A = {1, 2, 3} B = {3, 4} and C = {4, 5, 6}
∴A×B={1,2,3}×{3,4}
={(1,3),(1,4),(2,3),(2,4),(3,3),(3,4)}
and, B×C={3,4}×{4,5,6}
={(3,4),(3,5),(3,6),(4,4),(4,5),(4,6)}
∴(A×B)∩(B×C)={3,4}
