Question

Given A=1,2,3,B=3,4,C=4,5,6,
then show that A(BC)={1,2,3,4,5,6}
and (A×B)(B×C)={3,4}

Open in App
Solution

Clearly A(BC)={1,2,3,4,5,6}
Now A×B=(1,3),(1,4),(2,3),(2,4),(3,3),(3,4)
and B× C=(3,4),(3,5),(3,6),(4,4),(4,5),(4,6)
Hence (A×B)(B×C)={(3,4)}.
