The correct option is A 5.5 cm
Given, ACD=90°, CD = 2.3 cm.

Steps of construction:

Step 1: Keeping AC as the base line, construct an angle of 90° at the point C. Extend the line.

Step 2: Keeping C as the centre, construct an arc of radius 2.3 cm on the extended line.

Step 3: Join A to D. Measure the length of AD. It will be approximately 5.5 cm.

After construction, we get the following figure.

The length of the line segment AD will 5.5 cm
