In diplohaplontic lifecycle, a diploid (2n) sporophyte undergoes meiosis to produce haploid (n) spores or reproductive cells. These haploid cells then undergo mitosis to produce a gametophyte(n). which further produces haploid gametes that come together to form a diploid zygotic sporophyte.
