Given below are certain biological statements that are incomplete and hence incorrect, rewrite the correct form of the statement by inserting a suitable word/words in the right place. Do not delete any word given in the statement. Underline the inserted words/words.
The pulmonary artery arises from the right ventricle and carries blood to the lungs for oxygenation.

The heart:

  1. The blood is sent to the lungs from the right ventricle, through the pulmonary artery.
  2. In the lungs, deoxygenated blood gets oxygenated and returns to the heart by pulmonary vein, into the Left atrium.
  3. This oxygen-rich blood is then circulated in the body from the left ventricle, through Aorta.

The pulmonary artery arises from the right ventricle and carries deoxygenated blood to the lungs for oxygenation.
