The heart:
The blood is sent to the lungs from the right ventricle, through the pulmonary artery.
In the lungs, deoxygenated blood gets oxygenated and returns to the heart by pulmonary vein, into the Left atrium.
This oxygen-rich blood is then circulated in the body from the left ventricle, through Aorta.
The pulmonary artery arises from the right ventricle and carries deoxygenated blood to the lungs for oxygenation.
