(iii) Functions of Part A:
The fluid present in the cochlea starts vibrating when vibrations are passed from ear ossicles to the cochlea through the oval window.
These vibrations stimulate the hair-like processes of the sensory cells of the cochlea, converting the sound waves to nerve impulses. These impulses are then transmitted to the brain via the auditory nerve.
Functions of Part B:
●The basal portion of a semicircular canal is widened to form an ampulla which contains sensory cells for dynamic balance.
