Given above is a Parallelogram ABCD such that AO = 12 cm and OC = 2x + 2 cm.

For a parallelogram, we know that its daigonals bisects each other.

Hence, AO = OC

Now,
OC = 12 cm [ $∵ A O = O C$ ]
$\Rightarrow$ 2x + 2 = 12 cm
$\Rightarrow$ 2x = 12 cm - 2 cm
