The phenotypes of F2 progeny produced by the self-pollination of F1 progeny are shown below.

  1. Plants with round seeds and axial flowers.
  2. Plants with wrinkled seeds and axial flowers.
  3. Plants with wrinkled round seeds and terminal flowers.
  4. Plants with wrinkled seeds and terminal flowers.

The phenotype of F2 progeny: 9 : 3 : 3: 1 corresponds to Axial round: Axial wrinkled: Terminal round: Terminal wrinkled.

The phenotype of F2 progeny: 9 : 3 : 3 : 1.
