Solution

The correct option is C Corpus callosum
The sagittal plane is an anatomical plane which divides the brain into right and left cerebral hemispheres.
The cerebral hemispheres are connected by the corpus callosum.
The corpus callosum is a nerve fibre tract and this connection allows information to pass between the two halves.

The midbrain is located between the thalamus/hypothalamus of the forebrain and pons of the hindbrain. A canal called the cerebral aqueduct passess through the midbrain. The hindbrain comprises of the pons, cerebellum and medulla (also called the medulla oblongata).
