Given ΔACB right angled at C in which AB = 29 units, BC = 21 units and ABC = θ. Determine the value of cos2θ+sin2θ

In Δ ACB, we have
AB2=AC2+BC2
AC=AB2BC2=292212=(29+21)(2921)=400=20 units
thereforesinθ=ACAB=2029andcosθ=BCAB=2129
(i) we have,
cos2θ+sin2θ=(2129)2+(2029)2
cos2θ+sin2θ=441+400841=1
