Solution

The correct option is A Both Assertion and Reason are true and Reason is the correct explanation of Assertion
As in Q. 3 above.Cell representation would be:
$$\therefore\, E^{\ominus}_{cell}\, =\,(E^{\ominus}_{red})_{c}\, -\, (E^{\ominus}_{red})_{a}$$
= 0.34 - (- 0.80) = 1.14 V
Since $$E^{\ominus}_{cell}$$ is +ve, so $$CuSO_4$$ solution can be stored in silver vessel.
