Given figure ABCD is a parallelogram, P and Q are midpoints of sides AB and DC respectively, then prove that APCQ is a parallelogram.

ABCD is a parallelogram.
P,Q are mid-point of AB and CD respectively.
since ABDC [ Opposite sides of parallelogram are parallel ]
APQC [ Parts of parallel lines are parallel ]
since AB=CD [ Opposite sides of parallelogram are equal ]
12AB=12CD
AP=QC [ P is mid-point of AB and Q is mid-point of DC ]
Since APQC and AP=QC
One pair of opposite sides of APCQ is equal and parallel.
APCQ is a parallelogram.
