Solution

Given find P(A)=35 and P(B)=15,find P(A or B), if A And B are mutually exclusive events.
solution:
Given P(A)=35

P(B)=15

since A and B are mutually exclusive,

so,P(A B) = 0

Now,

P(A or B)=P(AB)

we know that

P(AB)=P(A)+P(B)P(AB)

putting values

P(AB)=35+150

P(AB)=45

Hence P(A or B)=45.
