The organelle involved in cellular respiration is the mitochondria. It is involved in the Krebs cycle and oxidative phosphorylation phases of the respiration process to convert glucose (carbohydrate) to an energy source called ATP. At the end of cellular respiration 32 ATP of energy is released.
