The correct option is A $- 8$
In order to simplify :- $- 6 x = 64 - 2 (- x)$
Solving bracket first,
$- 2 (- x)$ = $2 x$ ........ eq $(1)$
using eq $(1)$ ,
= $- 6 x = 64 + 2 x$
= $- 6 x - 2 x = 64$
= $- 8 x = 64$
= $x = \frac{64}{- 8}$
= $x = - 8$
Option $A$ is correct.
