OPB=90° (Tangent is perpendicular to radius)In right triangle OPB, we have:PB=OB2-OP2=52-32=25-9=16=4 units
AB=2BP=8 units
Since BD is a secant and BP is a tangent and by secant-tangent theorem, we have:
BC×BD=PB2BC×5=42BC=165=3.2 units
