Open in App
Solution

Seed dispersal is the transport of seeds far away from their parent plant by wind, water, animals or birds. If the seedlings are grown near the parent plant there exists a competition for light, water, nutrients between the seedlings as well as the parent plant. Therefore seed dispersal gives the seeds better chance of survival.
