The efferent arteriole has a narrower lumen (lesser diameter) than that of afferent arteriole. The glomerular capillaries are also narrower than afferent arteriole, thus blood pressure in glomerular capillaries becomes very high so that there is a continuous process of ultrafiltration (filtration under pressure) due to the pressure gradient between blood and filtrate in Bowman's capsule.
