Glycerol (propane 1, 2, 3 triol) is more viscous than ethylene glycol (ethane 1, 2, diol). Explain.

Viscosity depends on the amount of hydrogen bonding between molecules and presence of more OH group, glycerol involved in intramolecular hydrogen bonding within the molecule, thus glycerol is more viscous than ethylene glycol.
