Solution

The correct option is B Joint Forest Management
The Government of India introduced the concept of Joint Forest Management(JFM) in the 1980s to work with local people to manage the forests.
Jhum cultivation is a form of shifting cultivation practiced in Northeast India. In this practice, trees of the forest are cut and the area is burnt. Crops are raised on the ash.
Chipko Movement started in 1974, by Sunderlal Bahuguna, in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand to raise awareness about rapid deforestation. A similar movement called Appiko movement in Karnataka was carried out by Pandurang Hegde.
