Question

Graph between log p and log1÷V for a fixed amount of a gas at constant temperature

Open in App
Solution

Considering the gas equation PV=NRT in order to plot P v/s 1/V graph let us assume the product “NRT” as constant. Which gives us PV= constant. Or, P=constant/V. Let constant =1. Then P=1/V. It is the equation of a straight line.

Hence we get a linear graph( straight line) with slope 45 degrees.
