Graphically represent the zeroes of the cubic polynomial: y=x3−3x+2
Open in App
Solution
Factor of x3−3x+2=(x−1)(x−1)(x+2) Plotting (−2,0),(−1,−4),(0,−2),(1,0) and joining them. Here −1,−1,2 are the zeroes of the cubic polynomial. These co-ordinates are the x-coordinates of the three points where the graph of x3−3x+2 intersects the x-axis.
