Solution

The correct option is B Oxidative phosphorylation.
ATP is produced by the process of phosphorylation in which ADP is phosphorylated to yield ATP. The ATP can be synthesized by three processes- photophosphorylation, oxidative phosphorylation and substrate-level phosphorylation. In photophosphorylation, ATP is synthesized in the presence of sunlight and photolysis of water in the chloroplast. In oxidative phosphorylation, ATP is synthesized by oxidation of reduced substrates formed during the aerobic respiration of glucose. In substrate-level phosphorylation, ATP is synthesized directly from high energy substrates without involving mitochondrial or chloroplast electron transport chain. Thus, the correct answer is option C.
