Greetings of the day, Respected Faculty. Why we don't call the cells between the Vascular bundles 'Medullary Rays' in the case of anatomy of Monocot root?

Roots shows radial arrangement of vascular bundles and medullary rays are present in conjoint type of vascular bundles. Hence medullary rays are absent in roots
