Solution

In plants the cells which help to grow are the meristematic cells which are under continuous division.

1.Apical Meristem (Root and Shoot)

2.Lateral Meristem(Girth of plant)

3.Intercalary Meristem.(Nodes and Internodes of plants)

Only specific regions of the plant body has these type of cells .The two regions where it is present are the internodes (intercalary meristem), present at the tips of roots and shoots (apical meristem),the lateral meristem helps growth in girth of plant.
