Given, Mass of the rocket M=2000 kg
Ejection speed, v=200 m/s
Acceleration of the rocket a=20 m/s2
As we know, for variable mass system with constant rate of ejection μ
Mdvdt=Fextμu
Here, Fext=Mg (downward) and relative velocity of ejection u=v (downward)
Ma=Mg+vdMdt
2000×20=2000×10+200dMdt
dMdt=300 kg/s is the rate of consumption of fuel.
