No, Gurmit should not use a laser torch for doing this. This is because the intensity of the laser light is very high. It can be harmful to the human eyes. Infact, it can cause damage to the retina which might result in blindness.
For observing the variation in the size of the pupil of his friend’s eye, Gurmit can use a normal torch with moderate intensity.
