Haemophilia is a type of X- linked recessive disease, which shows its transmission from unaffected carrier female to some of the male progeny. It is a genetic disorder in which the sufferers ( homozygous recessive female and the recessive X bearing male) are at risk of bleeding to death since blood does not clot in them. The heterozygous female (carrier) for haemophilia may transmit the disease to her sons.
