Half the perimeter of a rectangular garden is 36m. If the length is 4m more than its width, find the length of the garden.

Half of the perimeter of garden is 36m
Let the width of the garden is x m
The length is 4 more than the width =x+4
So the perimeter of rectangle is =2(l+b)
Now, put the value we have perimeter =2(x+4+x)
72=2(2x+4)
(2x+4)=36
x=364
2x=32
x=16m
So width is 16m and length is 16+4=20m
