Let the width of the garden is $xm$

The length is $4$ more than the width $=x+4$

So the perimeter of rectangle is $=2(l+b)$

Now, put the value we have perimeter $=2(x+4+x)$

$\Rightarrow 72=2(2x+4)$

$\Rightarrow (2x+4)=36$

$\Rightarrow x=36-4$

$\Rightarrow 2x=32$

$\Rightarrow x=16m$

So width is $16m$ and length is $16+4=20m$
