Let the length of the garden be $x$ and the breadth be $y$.

Then, half the perimeter =$\frac{1}{2}\times 2(x+y)=16$

$\Rightarrow x+y=16\dots \left(1\right)$

Also given, length of the garden is 4 m more than its breadth.

$\Rightarrow x-y=4\dots \left(2\right)$

Adding (1) and (2),

$2x=20\Rightarrow x=10$

Substituting $x=10$ in (2),

$10-y=4\Rightarrow y=6$

$\therefore$ The length is 10 m and breadth is 6 m.
