The correct option is A

Length = 20 m, breadth = 16 m


Let the length of the garden be x and the breadth be y.
Then, half the perimeter
12×2(x+y)=36
x+y=36(1)

Also given,
xy=4 … (2)

Adding (1) and (2),
2x=40
x=20

Putting x = 20 in (2),
20y=4
y=16.

Therefore, length = 20 m and
breadth = 16 m.
