The correct option is A Length = 20m, Breadth = 16m
Let the length of the garden be x and the breadth be y.
Then, half the perimeter =12×2(x+y)=36
x+y=36(1)
Also given, xy=4 … (2)
Adding (1) and (2),
2x=40
x=20
Putting x=20 in (2),
20y=4
y=16.
Therefore, Length = 20m and Breadth = 16m
