Let cost of wooden skateboard is x and composite skateboard is y
Then according to the question
2x+3y=650......eq(1)
3x+y=450.........eq(2)
Multiply the eq(2) by 3
9x+3y=1350......eq(3)
Subtract the eq(1) and eq(3), we get
7x=700
x=100
Put the vale of x in eq (2), we get
3×100+y=450
300+y=450
y=450300
y=150
Then the cost of five wooden sketboards and four composite skateboards is
5x+4y=5×100+4×150
500+600=1100$
