Question

Have you ever sung in the shower ? Why does your voice sound so much better there.

Open in App
Solution

Because showers aren't usually symmetrical cubes, some of those waves travel further than others. Also the ceramic doesn't absorb sound well, gives your singing the effect of being stretched out, or reverberated. Reverb also helps to even out your pitch. Your voice tends to gets blurry as it reverberates off many surfaces. So if you quite hit the exact note, it sounds closer than it would outside the shower.
