HCF and LCM of two numbers are 12 and 480 respectively if the numbers are in the ratio 5:8 then find the difference of the two numbers

Let ratio be x then numbers are 5x and 8x Product of numbers = HCF x LCM (5x)(8x) = 12x480 40x^2= 5760 x^2= 144 x = 12 So numbers are 5(12) and 8(12) = 60 and 96 their difference = 96-60 = 36
