Heat at the rate of $200 W$ is produced in an X-ray tube operating at $20 k V$ . Find the current in the circuit. Assume that only a small fraction of the kinetic energy of electrons is converted into X-rays.

Let $I$ be the current. here $V = I R = 20 k V = 20000 V$
Now heat , $H = I^{2} R t = I (I R) t = I V t$
$\frac{H}{t} = I V$
or $200 = I (20000) \Rightarrow I = 10^{- 2} A$
