Solution

The correct option is C

(i) , (ii) and (iii)

  1. The heating of Ammonium chloride will produce Ammonia and Hydrochloric acid after decomposition.
  2. NH4Cl(aq)(Ammoniumchloride)HeatingNH3(g)Ammoniagas+HCl(g)(Hydrogenchloridegas)
  3. Here Ammonia produced is basic, so it will turn red litmus blue, hence statement (i) is correct.
  4. Hydrogen Chloride produced is acidic, so it will turn blue litmus red., hence statement (ii) is correct.
  5. And Both Ammonia NH3 and Hydrogen chloride HCl are highly water-soluble so statement (iii) is also correct.

Hence option (C) is the correct option.
