Solution

The correct option is

B

50 cm

Given:

The pressure of Helium gas = 1 atm.

The pressure of = 2 atm.

Distance, (x) = 1 m = 100cm

To find the distance covered by to reach other tube with the same interval of time is given by,

rHerSO2=100txt=PHePSO2MSO2MHe=12×644=2
or x=50 cm

The distance covered by to other tube is 50 cm.
