hi in one of your video is read that collenchyma tissues are flexible and provide mechanical support to palant.But mechanical support in terms of a plan is the toughness provided to a plan and as the collenchyma tissue is flexible it can not provide mechanical support to plant, so why did it say that it provides mechanical support to plant

Thanks for letting us know your concern.

The collenchyma tissue has thick cell walls at the corners due to the deposition of pectin. Hence. they also provides structural support mainly to the growing shoots and leaves.

It also provides flexibility and elasticity to the plant parts by allowing them to bend easily.
