Copper is a metal having +ve electrode potential. So it quite favourable for reduction by suitable reducing agent. Copper is refined from Poling and Electrolytic Reduction Process. But in Poling some gases does not evolve. So, low purity occurs in Poling. But in Electrolytic Reduction, pure Copper comes to cathode without impurities.
